Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born on April 16th, 1996 in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker and Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychology student. She is an Argentinean who has Scottish, English and Argentinean descent. Her mother's heritage is Spanish and English. She was the first born of a clan with six kids. Four of her siblings are from the previous marriage to Taylor's dad. The family lived in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy aged 6 and then moved to Victoria district in London. According to Taylor-Joy the removal was extremely difficult for her and she was unable to study English with the intention of returning to Argentina. She had to switch schools between Northlands in order to attend Hill House. Then she went to Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. After 16 she quit the school to take on acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy was always aware of her desire to be an actor. The opportunity was offered to her chance to try it by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, who offered her the opportunity to model.
