Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19th, 1946, on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn into a struggling family that would one day include 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to get away from the challenges of life by using her expansive and vivid imagination. Before she could compose or read, she composed her own tunes. Her first guitar purchase came when she was 8 and began singing on the Knoxville Tenn radio station at the age of 11. In the same year, she recorded her debut album on Gold Band Records an independent small-scale label. She made a name for herself in the local scene while still at the high school system, but she wanted to be on of performing on a bigger stage. Following her graduation in 1964, she moved to Nashville. Her first charting records for Monument Records included Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy both in 1967. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female singer to perform on his show syndicated by him in the years prior to this. Parton began her career in 1966. She then joined RCA Records in 1968, and then the Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1969. She left Wagoner's show, but in 1974, because her solo albums like Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene beat out their collaborative albums. Parton was a part of the group that split after the end of their association with Wagoner, wrote I Will Always Love You and managed to make it number. The first time it reached No. 1 was 1974.
