Kari Sam Wuhrer, born on 28th April 1968 is an American Actress and Singer. Wuhrer started her career when she was a teenager. She is best known for playing Maggie Beckett on the TV series Sliders and also in the role of her character, Sheriff Samantha Parker, in the horror-comedy movie Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer was born within Brookfield Connecticut as her mother was Karin Noble who was employed as a payroll clerk, and German American Andrew Wuhrer. Her siblings include three. She began singing in nightclubs as a teenager and was known to sneak away from her house in order to perform. At the Wooster School at the age of thirteen She began her studies in acting. Then, at the Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University, Marymount Manhattan College at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London with the well-known instructor Uta Hagen. She studied with her. She was born April 28, 1967 in Brookfield Connecticut. Her father is both a German American policeman as well as a salesperson for autos. Kari was born into the family of four. Kari was a nightclub singer as a teenager sneaking out of the house to sing. Kari was first introduced to acting in Wooster school at the age of 13 and then went further to pursue a degree in drama at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Columbia University Marymount Manhattan College as well as the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art under renowned Uta Hagen. Kari stepped into acting as aged a teenager. Her first television break was in 1987 on MTV's Remote Control.
